September (monthly)

Hello~!

Hope last month's blog found you guys well. This month was a rollercoaster yet again... I've been grinding on that 'Cafe Kind Of' pop-up, YHWH collaboration, starting our Sunday school groups, farewells, being kinder to myself, dates with Eunice noona, and going back to part-time life.

To say the least, it has been more challenging to balance all these commitments and responsibilities, but I thrive. I do wish though I had more time for myself and God...

Going to work.... I was feeling my fit this day. I actually don't know why I took this picture, hahaha

I went to a FICB event in Berkeley because this week was Sangjoon's last week before he left for NYU. Look at him surrounded by the ladies with the doggo in his arms... lmao, cute I guess~

Hang out with Wilson this same night. He was feeling sentimental so he wouldn't let Sam go.

Same here, but I just slept next to him for a solid hour or two LOL

Went hiking with Jenny, my middle school friend. She is one of the 2? 3? people I actually keep in touch from middle school. We go WAYYY back. Oh wait, she was in my blog for last month. We hiked eagle rock down near los gatos/saratoga area. Always very beautiful and refreshing to go outside... I had to poop so bad though so we kind of cut it short, but next time we will do a longer trail!!

Met up with Sofie!! The cheese GOAT~ (pun intended). We went to wholefoods and she educated me on the different cheese companies, brands, and types!

Oh, and this text I got from Sam that was so heartwarming <3 He has been trying to use more affirming words and love languages... Let me tell you, it's working!

I'm pretty sure we didn't have lunch served at church this sunday so we went out and ate Pelicana at Mainstreet cupertino :P

I've actually never had a full 1-on-1 with Wilson but this was the first time. He took me as his "passenger princess" on his Tessie to get some pizza and have DEEP conversations ^^

Alex hosted katsu party at his house so a bunch of soon people came over and enjoyed time together. Alex, the katsu you made was absolutely beautiful <3 <3

Priscilla did her art show at SJSU. It was her senior art exhibition but man was it so beautiful...! Community, individuals, strangers, and all just came together to appreciate and celebrate this one person's work. Honored to be a part of something like this.

Made a spontaneous trip up to GP with alex, grace, and allison... This was a mistake because I had work the next morning bruh - I wanna cry, I cannot live like a college student anymore. Not that I enjoyed college life style and pattern, but man.

Had our second meeting! This is another project I'm working on with my youth kids. I think I want to call it project: a-i-deul or samchon gwa a-i-deul. Anyways, stay tuned! or follow @dayvarchived for more updates

I have been cooking lots and lots and lots. I guess more time, it's kinda fun, it makes me feel cool, and I can sustain myself. Now, the question of taste is a different one to tackle, but it looks pretty, right??? Hahaha

Gunny hyung bought me sashimi... I mean tbh at this point I'm not even like suprised because he buys me only kbbq or sashimi every other week LOL <3

I made Eunice some flowers! I have this terrible habit of buying flowers when I leave TJ because bruh it's cheap and it's so pretty. Anyways I wanted to do something nice for her so made her a small gift :)

I really wanted kimchi jjigae, so Enice made me some, hehe I had 3 bowls of rice this meal.... and I KO'ed

I have so many snacks in my car, but okay, when I was full time I legit had no time to eat so this would be my in between meals as I commuted from one client to another. It sustained me ok! nut mixes, m&ms, rice crackers, and granola :D

Went ice skating with my youth kiddos! I wasn't going to ride since my toe was sprained, but Pastor JW was feeling weak, so I took over for him LOL

Went to berkeley for my weekly saturday meeting for YHWH apparel.

Got dinner with olivia which I was late to... SORRY~ I forgot to take a picture in the beginning so I took a picture half way of eating hahaha

Loved catching up with you :) So unfortunate because I was talking most of the time and then she started sharing more near the end of our meetup, but NEXT TIME!

Came home to some beautiful people -- angela, eunice, hayoung, and pris. Hayoung made this beautiful pavlova which is apparently from australia (aussie aussie aussie, oi, oi, oi!) It was absolutely delicious.

In short, I am still loving life, living a packed and busy schedule, and learning to balance all the commitments in my life.

Something I did want to share briefly was that during my therapy I learned about forgiveness. And how forgiveness doesn't necessarily have to look like going back into the relationship you had with the person who broke your trust. Perhaps forgiveness can be looked into two parts: emotional and relational. We are called to resolve our bitterness, hatred, and hard hearts toward the person, but forgiveness doesn't always look like going back into the relationship to mend and go back to where it first started.

I will probably do a separate write-up on what I learned about forgiveness and how self in forgiveness is also very important.

ANYWHO... Thanks again for making time to read through all this, you're a real one!
